Pokemon will be reaching twenty years, Nintendo will be celebrating this landmark, beginning with a Pokemon Festival which will culminate in a make-over and reboot of the Pokemon TV series. Pokemon X and Y will be the most ambitious Pokemon game to date, utilising the full potential of Nintendo’s 3DS console. When pokemon was first created by Satoshi Tajiri and Nintendo in 1996 the task of collecting 151 little monsters seemed daunting enough but the upcoming future release of Pokemon’s sixth generation will task trainers with the monumental quest of collecting over 700.
For almost twenty years generations of children have had one goal: to catch them all and become a pokemon master.
